About this Event
We are having a second round of Addressing Anti-Blackness workshops for the Asian Community AND the last workshop date will be opened to ALL.
Background: This workshop was created at a grassroots level and is based on a yoga racial workshop that has helped me untangle and process my identity as it relates to social injustice. The workshop referenced is by Michelle Johnson, Black yoga teacher, author, and social justice activist. While I am not an expert or scholar in anti-racism work. I am a part of this community and want to hold a safe space for us to unpack our place in this world. I am learning and while you are learning too. This is a space to learn from each other.
- 9/12 & 9/19: These dates will be held as a safe space for Asian identifying individuals.
- 9/26: This workshop date will be opened to all individuals. Those who are looking to learn new approaches to having the conversation of Anti-Blackness, to use this as a resource to deepen their own knowledge between the two communities, and who are simply curious.

What to Expect: It is broken up into five stages with time after to share and discuss in small Zoom breakout rooms of 4-5.
